Many people are of the conviction that cheating is the only way to ruin a relationship, but there are many other ways to ruin things that have nothing to do with infidelity.

Here are a few of them.

Emotional disconnect

Many relationships end before they end, meaning there is an emotional detachment. So couples stop having sex, for example, or even if they do, it is more out of obligation than passion. For some, they do not communicate as often or none at all. Emotional disconnect is a huge deal-breaker in a relationship because if there no chemistry, there is no need to go above and beyond for the relationship.

Emotional cheating

What can surely drive a wedge in a relationship is spending time that should be spent with your partner with a friend of the opposite sex. Here is the thing, the more you spend time with someone, the deeper the bond, and that is exactly why relationship experts do not advise close friendships between men and women once they are in committed relationships.

Intimacy becomes conditional

If your intimacy is tied to you doing something or not doing something, eventually one party or both will get tired and they will leave. Once love or intimacy is tied to a condition, the union will collapse.
