Some people believe that dating someone with the same last name is a no-no, as that person could be a distant or even close relative. Would you risk it anyway?

Tiffany:

I couldn't, but a very close friend of mine actually married someone with the same name as hers. I would fear it because chances are, you could be related and that for me would kill any chemistry between me and the person.

Taylor-Ann:

I know of people with the same last name who are married and they are not related. It's just a name. I don't think that should bother a couple once they do their research and conclude that they are not related. I say go for love.

Stephanie:

Heck no! That is scary. I couldn't risk being with someone knowing we share the same last name. What happens when I have babies for the man and hear he is my cousin? That's too risky. Once he introduces himself and I hear my surname, that would be the last contact.

JY:

I wouldn't take it any further. That is a big, big risk. To be on the safe side, I would just demolish that relationship from early.

BF:

I actually dated a guy for several weeks before he told me his surname and when he did, I was devastated. He hadn't asked my surname and I never asked his, and it came up in a conversation we were having with some other couples. Believe me, it was an immediate turn-off. And to think we were intimate!
