THREE Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) employees yesterday escaped serious injuries when the bus they were travelling in crashed in Spanish Town, St Catherine.

The Jamaica Observer understands that approximately 3:00 am, the JUTC bus was travelling along Sligoville Road when the driver lost control and it ended up in a ditch in the vicinity of Thompson Pen.

JUTC Communication Manager Cecil Thoms confirmed the accident yesterday.

Thoms told the Observer that the driver and his two co-workers received injuries but these were not considered life-threatening.

However, Thoms said the bus was badly damaged.

At the time of the accident the driver, along with employees, were in the process of picking up other employees from their homes.
