Four suspected Clansman members held downtown Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police are reporting that four St Catherine men suspected to be members of the Clansman Gang were yesterday arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition on Orange Street in downtown Kingston.

Charged are Dwayne Frater, 34, higgler of Fairview Avenue in Spanish Town; Rolondo Hall, 27, labourer of Pheonix Park in Portmore; Lamar Rowe, 21, mason of Lime Tree Grove in Spanish Town; and Sunmon McFarlane, 23, farmer of Capture Land also in Spanish Town.

Reports are that about 2:30 pm a motorcar in which the men were travelling was stopped.
The car, along with its occupants, was searched and two Glock pistols and 36 rounds of ammunition found.

The arrested men are scheduled to appear before the Corporate Area Gun Court on November 14.
