KINGSTON, Jamaica — The victim of a murder in Kingston yesterday afternoon has been identified as 37-year-old Craig Edwards of Main Street in Spalding, Clarendon.

Edwards was shot dead while sitting in a parked motor vehicle on Brenton Drive in Charlton, Kingston.

It was reported that two persons drove up in a grey motorcar and one of them disembarked and spoke to Edwards before firing several shots.

The lawmen said residents reported hearing the explosions about 3:45 pm.

Responding officers said they found Edwards slumped over the steering wheel of the vehicle with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the head.

The unknown assailants quickly fled the community. The make and type of vehicle was not ascertained.
